Diesel Inline Fuel This example illustratesa single 16-inch diameter, inline header for diesel fuel oil blend. The skid, measuring eight by 30 feet, was painted carbon steel with a diamond plate top. The piping was painted carbon steel, with five base and six additive lines. There were two sampling pumps on the skid with other pumps located off-skid.
Skid components and control panel were provided by the customer. Fabrication, supports, wiring and testing were completed by us. Micro Motion® mass flow meters were utilized to measure the fluids input into the header with the six-inch line requiring additional support due to the size of the meters. Wiring met European standards for hazardous locations. When completed, the 20-ton skid was loaded into a container for shipping to its overseas location.
The fabrication took about 12 weeks to complete with testing and control panel checkout completed byt he customer in our facility. The 24,000-pound skid was loaded into a container for shipment overseas.
