Petrak Industries has been designing and building custom turnkey blending systems for more than ten years. Systems, typically 8-to-10 by 30-to-40 feet, are prepared on our 3D modeling software to permit the customer to “view” the final product before it is fabricated. The software also allows us to closely examine the design from any position and magnify the smallest detail to assure accurate fabrication. This greatly aids in construction on the production floor, minimizing production-to-delivery time and assists in a smooth installation.
Automation controls can be designed in-house by our electrical engineer or by a third party. Systems utilize a mounted, PLC-linked industrial computer that incorporates the main operator interface and allows the optimum flexibility in access, security, and batch/recipe development. The native Windows® computer provides security and access, and permits network setup for remote access to the blending system.
In addition, the computer's operating system allows utilization of Microsoft Excel® for recipe creation and batch control which can be made by an office engineer and then applied through the blending system's software interface. Blended media can range from shampoo to fuel to paint to engine oil. To accommodate different customer blending methods, the system and its controls are designed for versatility and functionality.
